Avuncular testing involves the analysis of two individuals—the aunt or uncle and their niece or nephew. The results are delivered via email in PDF format within 5 to 7 working days. Please note that the turnaround time begins once you receive an email confirming that your samples have been received by the laboratory.
This test can only be performed if the tested aunt or uncle is a full sibling of the alleged father. It is commonly used in cases where the alleged parent is deceased or unavailable. Testing a full sibling of the alleged parent alongside the child can help determine the likelihood of a biological relationship.
We strongly recommend including a known parent’s sample to strengthen the results.
