All results will be delivered by email and will be available within 4 to 5 weeks from the time your samples are received at our laboratory.

Please note that this test is only available for male participants, as tracing paternal lineage requires the Y-chromosome, which is present only in males.

Your Y Chromosome
Interestingly, the Y chromosome is passed on exclusively by the father during conception and remains largely unchanged over thousands of generations. This is why the Y-STR test is such a powerful tool—it can determine whether two or more males are related through their paternal line.
All individuals in a direct paternal line, such as a father, brother, or grandfather, will share the same Y-STR profile. In contrast, individuals who are not related through the father’s side will have completely different Y-STR profiles. This means that you share the same Y-STR pattern with your father and forefathers stretching back thousands of years.
If a female is interested in discovering her paternal ancestry, she can simply ask a brother, father, or another direct male relative from her paternal side to take the test on her behalf.
