The SkinCareDNA test determines whether you are at high, medium, or low risk for various aspects of skin ageing, based on the selected testing option. The analysis covers the following six key categories:
Category 1: Photoaging
This section evaluates your skin’s sensitivity to external aging factors, particularly damage caused by ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Photoaging—also known as photodamage, solar damage, or sun damage—can accelerate the appearance of aging and increase the risk of skin cancer.
Category 2: Antioxidant Capacity
Your ability to produce antioxidants that fight free radical damage is largely genetic. Antioxidants help maintain a plump, youthful appearance by neutralizing harmful free radicals that break down skin cells.
This test assesses your skin’s genetic resilience to oxidative stress.
Category 3: Acne

Sample collection
Sample collection for your Forensics Canada SkinCareDNA test is simple and straightforward. Once your order is confirmed, a DNA kit will be sent to the address you provide. In just three easy steps, you can collect your sample and return it for analysis:
Rub the oral swabs under your tongue and along the inside of your cheeks
Let the swabs air dry for one hour
Seal the swabs in the provided envelope and send them back for testing
